Wanted Maggie Sottero Gown-Vernice

Were you able to locate this dress? If so, are you planning to resale? My wedding is in May 2009.

I actually ended up buying it NWT from e-bay in a size 8 which fits perfect. I`m eloping in May. We`re not having a reception so the dress will be mildly used and I`ll be selling it afterward. When is your wedding?

I`ve got a silk ivory Vernice dress for sale, size 10. I wore it for my wedding back in October - it`s a beautiful dress!

I may be interested in your dress. I tried on jasmine bridal T983 which has a similar waist and top. I found it comfortable and flattering. I am going to look for the vernice to try on now as it may be less expensive than jasmine.

I do still have it! It`s a size 10, but obviously since it`s a lace up back it will probably fit most sizes. I am about 5`9 and wore it with flat shoes (which I can also recommend as it was like wearing slippers all day!), so unless you`re massively tall, the length should be ok too. I can send you some photos, if you wish...
I live in York so you are most welcome to come and see the dress, although I`m actually away for the Easter hols. Let me know where you want to go from here...

Great, am definitely interested. What condition is it in? Would love to see the pics. How do we get in touch without putting our email addresses on this thread - can we do it through the site? Not that it is that big a deal, I just don`t want any more spam! Price-wise, there`s a shop in Bristol that sells it new for £740 so I`d be looking to pay £450 if it`s in good condition, so half the usual cost in this country (it seems to normally cost £900) but enough of a difference to make it worth not buying it new. Just to confirm, is it a UK 10 (not a Maggie Sottero 10)?

The dress is a size 10 I believe - well, I`m a size 10 and it fits me! It`s obviously a lace up back so should be able to fit anyone of a similar size...
It`s the silk version, rather than the taffeta one - so much nicer, but is therefore a bit more expensive!
It`s in good condition - the hem is a litte frayed underneath, but this is not noticeable at all when the dress is on. It was dry cleaned after the wedding.
I`m at work at the mo so don`t have any pictures to hand, but if you email the new account I`ve set up, I`ll send you some over the weekend...
