David`s Bridal Complaint

I have had a pretty bad experience with David`s Bridal recently. I purchased an off-the-rack designer brand gown from DB in December. I was told, as a sales pitch, that they would re-bead the dress and make it look brand new. They said I would never be able to tell it was bought off-the-rack. The dress was also a size too big and they were supposed to alter it for me. First of all, I ended up paying almost $400 for alterations! After making 3 trips to the Atlanta store (3 hours from where I live), my dress was in worse condition than it was before. They have done some very "shabby" alterations on the skirt of the dress that makes it bubble and crease in the front. The beads are still falling off and the dress looks dirty! I finally refused to travel back up to that store again, so they shipped it to a closer store. This store has been very friendly, but they are now trying to tell me that I may owe additional money for alterations! It is May 19th and my wedding is on June 14th. They won`t have my dress ready until June 4th! That is.......if they do it right and I don`t have to get more alterations done to it! Brides have enough stress with planning a wedding and this is the last thing that a bride should have to worry about. It`s not as if I waited until the last minute to purchase my dress and get the alterations done. THEY are the ones that are taking so long to get it done. I love my dress and I love the bridesmaids dresses that we bought from there, but I would certainly recommend getting your dress altered anywhere but David`s Bridal!
