I`m glad to see young people taking an interest in their future, but there are no universities or colleges that offer a wedding planning program since this industry is not regulated. A lot of wedding planning companies are own their company. But there are universities that offer meeting planning/hospitality management degrees. If you study event planning it will help give you an insight into how the event planning industry works.....Foundation of wedding planning.

To get some experience and education the best bet is to volunteer with a local planner to get the hands on experience. There are Associations for Wedding Planners and they offer certification classes, but they cost around $400 for class registration and $200 for membership into the organization.

Or you can go to your local library and read books on wedding planning. Bookstores also sell a variety of wedding planning books. Hope this helped

Hey I have some good news girls while there aren`t schools who have wedding planning some specialize in events planning. I to want to became a wedding planner. To help you personally continue your search go to your library and look for a book called " Opportunities in Event Planning Careers by Blythe Camenson. Some schools are listed to have specialized programs like Gearge Wahington Univ. Or Purdue If you can`t find what you want they say to major in Public relations. Or double major in that and some else like fashion merchendizing(sry spelling)

I hope I helped and make sure u get the book!

Hey guys. I`m starting to look into college also to be a wedding planner. So i`ve been talking to a couple of people that i know who recently graduated wanting to be a wedding planner. I`m not sure of any colleges yet. You first have to start out in event planning and hotel management and work your way up. I hope this helped a bit for you guys. Good luck. If you find out any good colleges for it please let me know. Thanks!
Chelsea.
