HELP...doubting I Bought The Right Gown!
Hi ladies, I`m panicking. I put down $700 on a Jim Hjelm gown in Ivory 6 weeks ago, I still owe $900, the dress won`t be in until Sept. But I think I should have choose white instead of ivory and I wished the train was longer. Has anyone else felt like they choose the wrong gown? Has anyone seen a Jim Hjelm silk satin gown in ivory, if you have, does it look okay? I`m totally worried and feel sick...

I am sure you can exchange the dress for another in the store. I mean it isnt even paid off yet. Calm down. Go back and chack out other dresses and tell them thaat you think you want one similar but in white with a longer train. They should be able to tell you something.

As for the colour - there is not a huge difference between white and ivory, infact ivory looks better against most people`s skin tone.

I Agree Ivory looks best on most people I`ve worked in a bridal shop for 5 years, and we sell as many Ivory gowns as white. As far as the Hjelm is concerned I love his Ivory, and have never been disappointed to see any of his gowns. I` m sure you will be happy with it.

Thanks ladies, I didn`t even approach the topic with the bridal store because they made me sign a paper when I ordered the gown that I am responsible for buying that gown since they are all special ordered. In the meantime I`ve calmed down and think I like my dress again...I think I`m panicking for no reason. I`m especially greatful for JEN`s message, since she has seen his ivory gowns she has given me a lot of faith that I will love it. Thanks again!!! Michele
