Native American Wedding

My fiancee & are are planning on getting married in Sept 2008. We are both of Cherokee background but have never done anything to prove it. We are planning a trip to the Cherokee reservation in July & Sept. He insists on getting married on the reservation. Can anyone tell me if this is allowed & how do i go about making arrangements to do so. I have found noone to answer my questions. I just want it plain & simple. We do not have alot of money. I would just like to carry out his wishes. Please help & soon.
