Hollywood Movie Theme

I think a Titanic theme would be great. Everything in Titanic was so elegant. I would just leave out the whole boat sinking thing

Are you looking to have a specific movie theme at the wedding? Such as Titanic, Gone With the Wind, etc?? Or are you looking to have a general Hollywood Movie theme?? I have some cute ideas for a general Hollywood Movie theme. It might be kind of cute to incorporate movie reels into your centerpieces of each table. It might be kind of neat if you could find a way to have little "hollywood walk of fame" stars with your names and the date of your wedding on them for favors or maybe one big on at the entrance of the reception. When I think of Hollywood Movies I think of glitz and glamour.

How about director chairs with BRIDE and GROOM on the back. You can be announced at the reception using a megaphone(like old time directors used)and come down a red carpet. For favors, you could start with Martini glasses(I`m sure you could find plastic).Tie silver ribbon around them with bows and you could fill them with silver jordan almonds....)I`ve seen them sold online at a lot of different favor sites). You could have one of those black clapboards and your names written in silver...or something like "A true Love Story" Take 1.... Probably could find this somewhere online also! Let me go think some more!

WoW...so far I have gotten some awesome ideas! You guys are great. To make things a little more easier basically its more of a general theme. We are not trying to do any particular movie...its just we used to go to the movies all the time, and want to incorprate that into our wedding theme. Hope that helps!

Maybe give out "Oscars" ( small trophies) with sweet sentiments on them for the bridal party as well as, parents. Do a small "awards" ceremony at the reception where you give out these awards to those you wish to thank and include in your special day. ( Greatest Moms, Dads, etc)
I would keep the colors to Black and Gold or Silver.
Play a lot of songs from movies: past and present.
Take my breath away ( Top Gun) , theme from Gone with the wind, Theme from A Love Story , etc.
Depending on how formal you want this, maybe have the guests come dressed as their favorite movie character. Just an idea but only for the very informal.
Sounds like a blast! I almost wish I could have a wedding every year to use some of the themes I have seen on this site. :-) Maybe I`ll just use this one as a party theme.

This IS a cool theme. I saw someone on here before asking about a 40`s-`50`s Hollywood theme. I thought that was very cool also. I suggested they could have their engagement photos done in black and white with the bride in an old fashion glamour `do`. Get pictures of their grandparents and parents wedding photos and display them at the reception. And a silver, black color theme. Stars, glitter and glam!

You can have your name cards look like movie tickets. You can name your tables different movies and have your guests know what table they are sitting at by the movie they are seeing. You can even set up a "box office" to have them pick up their tickets...

My fiance and I actually are shooting our wedding invitation (as if it`s a movie preview/trailer) on a real movie camera and we`re sending them to everyone on a dvd inside a film can... Tons of work (and tons of money... UGH!) But it`s been fun! Best wishes to you!

My fiance and I are doing the same type of theme mainly because this is the industry in which we met so it is close to our hearts!
