My suggestion to you is to write something yourself. Afterall it is your memories of your brother and it doesn`t matter if it is "proessional" or makes it in a book. I think that it will be far better recieved and mean so much more if it is your own work. Been there, done that ; 0 )

I don`t have a poem, but you might want to place a rose in the front row to mark that his place can not be filled by anyone else.

I am using this poem in my wedding in memory of my fiance`s mother at our wedding. You can use brother in place of mother.
If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother`s arms
And tell her they`re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
And when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
But there`s an ache within my heart
Because I am missing her today.
I hope this helps, I am sorry your brother won`t be there.

Hi Miranda, I am truly sorry for you loss. I lost my father, and am devasted that he will not be able to be at my wedding. I have agonized over what to do to include him. What I have decided to do is incorporate a picture of him as the focal point in my bouquet. This will symbolize him walking me down the aisle. My advice to you is to recognize him in a small way that means a lot. For me, I want to be happy at my wedding, and do not want to grieve (too much) again for my father. Remember, by reading a poem, it may bring pain to you and members of your family. Of course, if this is something that you can handle, then by all means, go for it! Sorry for not answering your question, just wanted to give a little advice. Congratulations, and again, I am sorry for you loss.

Thanks, beth, We had a candle lit and a pic of him on the registry table, a poem was also read during the ceremony. Thank you everyone for your response. I will be married a year in August.

I`m having a special reading at the ceremony followed by the lighting of a special candle. It`s more of a reading than a poem:
In Memory of Loved Ones Past...
Although death has seperated us physically, faith and love have bound us eternally.
Though we cannot see you, we know you are here.
Though we cannont touch you, we feel the warmth of your smile, as we begin a new chapter in our lives.
Today we pause to reflect upon those who have shaped our character,
Molded our spirts and touched our hearts.
May the lighting of this candle be a reminder of the everlasting impact you have made upon our lives.
Hope this helps
