How Do I Price Shop For A Florist?

I want to find a florist that`s not too expensive, but I don`t have a really good idea of what I want. I feel that if I call around without knowing what I want, I`ll just get a lot of "Well, it all depends..." answers when I ask about price. Any suggestions?
Also, if anyone from the twin cities area of MN found an inexpensive, quality florist, please respond. Thank you!

When searching for a florist, you best bet is to just stop in to see what they have to offer and when you see something you like get the pricing on it. You can than get an idea on what you would like by looking at what they have to offer, and also the pricing, than you can price compare with others.
It is not that they are giving you a run around, it is that their prices do vary a lot up on what you want. It is hard to give a quote on something that you have no idea what type of flowers they are wanting, using some flowers are cheaper than others. Hope this helped you out!!

I don`t know of many florists where you can just stop in and see wha they have. Normally how it works is that you make an appointment. You go there and sit down for an hour or so and discuss what types of things you are interested in (colors, style, etc...) and also you can look through their books. When you do decide what kinds of things you want they will write you up a quote. Visit three or four florists and get quotes from all of them. Pick the one that you feel most comfortable working with and the one that can most meet your budget.

I would also recommend not telling them you need flowers for a wedding to decorate with. Tell them it`s a corporate black tie event, you`ll save tons! There`s something about saying "wedding" that makes us look like cash machines to vendors! Try it and see for yourself.
