Mexico Wedding: WHERE?

Hey there,
We`re getting married in Mexico next year, we`re staying at the Riu Tequila - check out www.riu.com. It`s costly for us (from Toronto), but it`s a honeymoon and wedding in one, so it will be worth it! :)

Its funny that this has come up! My fiance`s family and I just went to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico last summer and stayed at the Riu Palace which is an absolutely beautiful all-inclusive resort!! I know that they have wedding packages there, but am not sure of the prices. It is definately worth checking out as a possibility, there is nowhere more gorgeous!!!!!!

My friends are getting married at a 400 year old Hacienda in Cocoyoc. I don`t really have any details about the place but I saw pictures and it is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!! I believe it is about a half an hour from Acupulco if I`m not mistaken.

Well, it seems like we have narrowed down what side of Mexico. We have chosen Myan Riviera... Where? I don`t know. In need of some ideas here too!

My suggestion of Playa Del Carmen is in the Mayan Riviera on the Yutican Penninsula!!! It is located about 20-30 minutes south of Cancun (we flew into the Cancun airport). Playa Del Carmen is actually a resort town and there are TONS of places there. There are about 4 Riu resorts (Riu Palace is by far my favorite)!!!
