Wedding In October

I am getting married in October and want a autumn theme. I need ideas for pretty much everything on a tight budget. My fiancee and I are paying for the whole thing so I would love any and all ideas that ya`ll can provide me. I need flower bouquet, decorations, gifts for attendants, reception, invitations, and any other sort of ideas that could pop into your heads.

Thank a million,
Liz

We`re November and having a fall theme but (no pumkins). My dress is ivory so I am having NO white.
For favors I ordered from a MAJOR candle company (if you don`t know who....tell me your email address and I will tell you) They won`t let me post it here. Anyway, I ordered (online)custom votives....scent is pumpkin spice....label has fall leaves on it is wrapped in ivory tulle tied with a small rust colored daisey. It is custom printed with our names and date and says "Thank you for sharing our special day" they came out SO nice.
My Mom and I made my centerpieces. At the end of the season we went to Hobby Lobby and bought 12" glass vases. We bought pumpkin spice potpourri and filled the bottom with about 2 inches then bought fall silk flowers (rust, reds, oranges, browns, golds) placed them inside. On top we put an ivory bun candle (it fit perfectly) They turned out so nice. We will then place fall silk leaves around them on the table. We bought everything on clearence and they only cost about $6.00 a piece. But even without a sale I think they would still be reasonable.
My flower girl will drop small silk leaves (instead of petals). We also bought these. It came on wire garland, they are small and we just cut them off the wire.
I got my unity candle online (again can`t tell you where or they will erase my post but if you want I will email it to you) they actually have fall leaves embedded in the candles. My ringbearer pillow, flowergirl basket and guest book are ivory with embroidered gold twill through them...(bought online.)
My invitations are Ecru with an autumn leave on front....they will say......
As autumn leaves turn there brillant hue two hearts will join and say "I do" also found online.
I thought about having an apple basket sprayed gold for the gift cards (in place of the wishing well or birdcage) but instead I bought a large hat box at Hobby Lobby....covered in ivory cloth....cut a hole in the top, hot glued gold cord around it and wala, it matches my guest book! My Mom found scrapbook paper at Michaels with an autumn leave border and bought them and put them away, she`ll then print the shower invites on them

Get good size fake leaves (in their "turning" colors) and write the guests names on them for place cards. I saw the idea in a bridal magazine.

I found a great deal on invitations on ebay. My wedding is also in October and I am trying a fixed budget as well. I have not gotten the invitations yet because I have not figured out my wording. Look for ShelsBoutique. Good Luck

Hi, I just wanted to let you know how inexpensivly I made my invitations, and they look as good if not better that one`s you buy. I purchased clear vellum and brick colored card stock on ebay ( I only paid about $20 for more than enough) I also purchased some shear ribbon from walmart for 77 cents for 5 yard rolls, using MicrosoftWord on my computer I printed my wording on the vellum ( after I cut it in half) then I stamped a big pumpkin in the middle of my brick cardstock ( also cut in half) then I gave an extra trim to the vellum so there would be a border of cardstock showing around the edges, then got a hole puncher, punched 2 holes at the top of the 2 papers, then I just tied them together with the shear ribbons! I just sent them out last week and already people are calling to tell me how beautiful they are. The reason I had to do this is because I am getting married on Halloween, and let me tell you all something, THEY DON`T SELL ANY HALLOWEEN INVITATIONS!!! I searched for months, I found nothing. So, I just made them all myself! It saved me hundreds of dollars too!!!

Good Luck!

You could have a fall themed aisle runner that could really make the ceremony.

I went to a wedding last fall that had an aisle runner that was a warm brown with hand painted leabes and pinecones going down the runner. Then they had reall leaves lining both sides of the aisle. It really looked like they were walking down a freshly cut path through the leaves. Everyone was talking about it and it really made the ceremony.

She bought the aisle runner from The Original Runner Company. It was real fabric AND it has the only non-slip backing in the world. I just bought the Bed of White Roses Printed aisle runner form them and it is really great.
