Pre Wedding Party

I am hosting a pre-wedding/Jack & Jill party/shower in my backyard for my son and soon to be daughter-in-law. The party is in New York and the wedding is in Houston, TX. A lot of my friends and his will not be attending the wedding in Texas, so we are celebrating here before he gets married. I do not know how to word this celebration. HELP!
