Hi. I know the dress you are talking about. I tried the same one on and it was my dream dress. I wear a 16w in it. If you have any replies in my size range, would you forward? There is no way I can afford that one. Or...if you find similar on the web, would you be willing to email? I will do the same if you send me your email.

So far, David`s has THE dress and it`s the cheapest. We haven`t set a final date either May 2004 or 2005. But I am thinking of renting the dress out after my wedding. Just a little FYI

I found a website that let`s you type in the style number and it gives you CHEAPER alternatives to that style. E-mail me at andreajdecker@yahoo.com and I`ll give you the site.

Have you tried looking on Ebay? You may be able to find the same if not very similar looking dress. I bought mine off Ebay for only $199! (I`m a size 22 as well.) I wish you luck in finding it! =)

Just an update... I found my dress! I posted above about the 16w (aka 18 or 20 dress). I went to a smaller, more personal (think mayberry USA) shop and the owner with 30 yrs of seamstress experience said she would make me the chapel length organza or Elglish Net Overlay type with lace jacket if I wanted to go a strapless, like the David`s. Dress = $99.00, and jacket $150 - $300, depending on how elaborate I wanted with beading and lace applique. I was so happy to have met her! BUT, after hearing me out about the dress I wanted, she showed me a similar one in her shop, where her stock was %50 off (really, not off of a "jacked up" price)... I ended up with a L`Croix dress for $325... But wait! There`s more!

I told her that I did websites for a living, and commented that her site could use some help. I offered to barter her my services for the gown, headpiece, vale, purse, garter set, hankies for myself, mom and grandma, guestbook, and more!

I paid nothing! YAY!!! They say I was born with a lot of things, but "mozel" wasn`t one of them. I say, "I make my own mozel".

ALSO Lisa, is there any chance that your seamstress is in Illinois, Wisconsin or Ohio? I tried a smaller shop in Wisconsin...that had almost the exact dress but they wanted $150 more than David`s.

Hi, my name is Sharla and I am now divorced, but I have a size 22 designer ivory/creme wedding gown. I do not have a picture because the gown is in a preservation box. However I have located a picture of the exact gown on the web. I`ve only worn it once. I had the dressed ordered from New York when I got married. It cost me $650.00/willing to sell for $300.00. It also includes a veil which is ivory with roses and pearl beads as the tiara. I will try and email you the picture, but just in case it doesn`t go through, I located it on: www.brides.com, designer is: Private Label by G, style no. Is: 637. The gown itself is sleeveless with wide lace and flower appliques straps. The back is open with a diamond-cut shape. I got married back in January and I had two dresses. I decided on the one I wanted to wear and then sold it after the wedding and now I still have the other. It is still in the packaging, sealed air tight and never worn. It is a white sweetheart gown with a tiara headpiece and garment bag.The size is a 20, but will fit womens size 14, 16, or 18. Are you looking for something new? If not I do have an dress with a bust 38 it is ivory with removable crystal spaghetti straps. It has alot of crystal beading and peach flowered accents it also has a 6 foot train and very beautiful. It does need to cleaned as there is dust on the bottom of train. If you are looking for a brand new dress you can check ebay thats where I`m buying my dress at for $150.00 new with tags. The reason I`m selling the one I bought from ebay is because I`m too big for it as I wear a size 30. And I`m selling it for $200.00 plus $25.00 for shipping. I do have pictures but I need a better camera and it will be posted on Ebay as well.
