Deprovera DON
I had only one shot back in 1998. After nine months I had gained 35lbs still didn`t have my period so my doctor put me on the pill. Three months later my period started again. It has been 4 years and 4 miscarriages and the weight still hasn`t come off. I truly believe the medical professionals should inform all woman on the long term side effects of this drug not just the short term effects.

I agree...im 20 years old, and i took my first shot of depo at 17. I developed endometriosis from it and nearly lost one of my ovaries from it. And after a year and 7 months, ive yet to have a period....i dont know if im fertile anymore or not. Its horrible stuff, should have never been put on the market for consumer use, and deserves to be banned. Ive had numerous late night visits to the ER when i was on it for bleeding out, dizzyness, collapsing, and serious abdominal pains, which in some cases felt like i was being impaled....my sympathy goes out to any victim from depo.

I also agree. I`m 21 years old. I had a baby boy seven months ago. I decided to get the shot on my six week check-up. BIG MISTAKE. Before i recieved the shot I was back to my original size 7-8 now after one shot i now wear a 13-14. Also I have horrible mood swings. My advice to anyone is dont choose deprovera
