Casting Call For INDIE

Actors and actresses needed for short indie film, second in a series, to premier in the fall.

Here`s a little sketch of what the movie`s about:

A drag queen is kicked out by his sugar daddy. He`s mistreated his friends, and so has nowhere to turn. He`s forced to find cheap accommodation. He moves in with an artist living in a converted warehouse in Brooklyn. She is introverted, paranoid. She`s a sculptor who works with dolls, deconstructing them, reimagining female identity. She badly mistreats her boyfriend. New to this situation, the drag queen befriends the boyfriend and helps him to find his inner goddess. The paranoid artist becomes intensely jealous and obsessed. She begins snooping through the drag queen`s things, deconstructing him, like another doll. Etc. Etc.

CASTING FOR the following ROLES:

DRAG QUEEN: more than some caricature, unique, talented and beautiful. (this is an acting job, not biography)

BJORK-LIKE ARTIST: crazy is too simple a description, open-minded on age

BOYFRIEND: young, cute, nice body, defeated by her, helped by drag queen to find his inner goddess

TRICK: drag queen`s hot plaything, but in reality is deeper than he appears

AUDIENCE: cameo roles for character actors who can create an interesting scene between you and the Drag Queen MCing her comeback show

NEIGHBORS: cameo roles for musicians or other interesting people who want to add texture to the film

Shooting begins in July. Auditions begin in early June.
