I am planning a wedding and am on a limited budget. As fishing is one of our favorite things we`re hoping to make it our theme.
Any suggestions would be great!! THanks so much.

I also am having a fishing theme to our wedding. We are using old family wicker fishing creoles for flower baskets, having fish bowls with goldfish in them for center pieces and our favors are little tin buckets with Swedish fish in them. I even took little fishing poles for the cake toppers to hold, because they overlook a fountain. Just some fun ideas!

Wow!!! we`re not alone. I`m also having a fishing theme and am on a budget. But, I to need ideas. A few we had were to build an arbour out of old or broken fishing rods which are cheap at garage sales or if you know of a shop where they do repairs. Another idea was to have the bride in her vail and the groom in a bug net. Sound crazy? Maybe! But I only plan to get "Hooked" once. Thanx John and Sarah

Hi, I know a lady that does chocolate cake toppers. She has on of a Bride and Groom, typical wedding pose, BUT on the back the groom is holding a fishing pole with a fish basket or a tackle box or something like that.
Her address is
Briarrosechocolate@yahoo.com
I know she has lots of fishing stuff because we had my FIL retirerment party with a fishing theme and she did all of the decorations.
Good luck

For a favor for the men guests I would make up little bags with different types of fishing lures and worms. Maybe have lanterns as your centerpieces on your tables. You could place you favors, wedding programs, etc. In different galvanized buckets.

OH ELIZABETH!! I would love to help you out! I hand paint centerpieces, favors, toasting flutes, etc. I would absolutely love to do these for you. I could do different hurricanes painted in different fishing themes. It would be so awesome and I could also do votive holders to match that would add to the decor of the table and double as favors. They could say "The Perfect Catch" you names and wedding date.

I am planning a fishing themed wedding and have found some really cute ideas on a limited budget........This is what I did......
You can use a fly fishing basket for your cards. Usually find them at craft malls or antique places. I found a wedding cake topper that has a bride catching the groom by the seat of his pants with a fishing pole. It is about 20 -25 dollars. Also I found a wedding band for him that has a bass on it. Other things you can do are getting plants that are in the vase with water and putting a fish in them for centerpeices.
Hope this helps.
