Sports Wedding Cake
Okay...this may sound extremely unusual, but because I play soccer & softball, and my fiance plays softball & coaches football & track, we thought it would be awesome to have a sports wedding cake. Something that involves our sports hobbies. I thought a three-tier sports cake would be cool...a soccer ball, a football and a baseball...the wedding top would be track runner & soccer player with a veil on her head. I read in a magazine that weddings are for ALL the women invited...forget about the men. Do you think other women would think this is ridiculous?

A wedding is a reflection of the couple who are marrying. If you are worried about what others think, you will not have the wedding you want. The people who know you and are close to you would totally understand the purpose behind the cake topper. Do what the two of you want and enjoy your day. For those who would have a problem with it, let them pay for your wedding and then they can have say. Otherwise , they should stay out of it. By the way, me personally, I love the idea because it makes it personal and unique.

I think that is great! My husband and I had a baseball cake, everyone loved it. With sports being so popular with both men and women, I am shocked that it is so difficult to find sports related wedding items. I am still looking for a men`s baseball ingraved wedding band. I found golf clubs, but that is the closest I have come so far. I wish the people specializing in weddings would realize that times have changed, I know a lot of couples that have been brought together by the sports they love. Thank you for being a sport! --CLG

I think it`s great we are having a hockey themed wedding. And trust me not many places have hockey stuff. I did alot of research and not only did I have a beautiful cake top made with our team jerseys on I also found a web site with all sport centerpieces, team garters and cakes.
