Mother Of The Groom

The Groom`s parents do not approve of the wedding. The bride is a few years OLDER(gasp!). Trying to include them, and offered the mother to assist at the reception. She was APPALED and now refuses to attend the reception. They were not invited to the wedding, which will be a civil ceremony. Were we wrong?

They were probably hurt that they were not invited to the ceremony. What is the reason for that? I know you said it is going to be a civil ceremony....was anyone invited? Your parents?
