Mori Lee Dresses
Wow, there`s a lot of hostility out there. My experience as a mother of the bride in bridal stores has not been great. First off, it`s hard to find the right dress unless you visit many stores. We weren`t even thinking of buying online, however, we would prefer to buy nearest our home. The bridal salons near home were nice but limited. If the bride needs a size 16, it can be very hard to imagine the fit when one tries a size 10 or 12. You can order one to fit, but then find it`s not flattering. Also, if you want white, it`s hard to imagine that when trying on one with yellowy gold lace or heavy silver when you can also order in white. So there you are with a dress that can`t close in the back with distracting yellow lace pattern and you have to say that`s fine. No, instead we have to search for stores that have it in a closer size or at least in white. But we may take that info back to a store nearer us to order. I feel badly doing that, but I`m sure in the long run that goes in reverse to benefit that store as well. When you are paying $800 or more for a dress you want to know what it`s going to look like. Also, about photographing it in the store when one tried the dress on. We found a salon with a great dress, and it looked very nice on, but couldn`t photograph it. My daughter looked at a number of dresses since and we were able to photograph them (different stores). One tends to forget dress details when comparing them to make a decision. We put out these photographs to make a visual comparison and guess what? The store that didn`t allow photos had no photo in our collection to compare...so that one gets eliminated. We can`t keep going back to take another reminder peek. The store loses a sale. And if they had the best price and the best dress we would have ordered it from them. The one that had the same dress and allowed photos is the one that got the purchase.
