Super Big Weddings !!
I`m so jealous of people who have those big weddings. Like, I`m really jealous of that peach/fuschia color-coordinated ensemble that the fifteen bridesmaids wore. And I`m envious of that great big fat bow on the brides butt (back of her dress). She did a great job looking like a cross between Little Miss Bo Peep and Scarlett O`Hara. I mean, its okay for a thirty year old woman to dress up like Little Bo Peep, isn`t it?My own wedding gown was so...normal. How boring. And I`m super duper jealous of the fact that you guys drop twenty grand that you don`t have for that "special day". Or maybe you bilked your aging parents for it. Oh well who cares. Of course, never mind that with that kind of money you could make a downpayment on a nice house. That`s not important! And don`t forget, you must never ever talk to anyone who didn`t show up at your wedding shower, wedding, and wedding reception. Even Uncle Ernie who is dying in the hospital w/cancer - he`s a big JERK for not showing up at your twenty thousand dollar extravaganza. How dare him! And I`ll never forget watching that size 16 bride squeeze into a size 6 gown - she could make that into a circus act!! WOW ! Oh and even if this one is your third wedding, make sure that if anyone didn`t spend at least fifty dollars on your wedding shower gift - don`t speak to them again as long as you live. Even if you get divorced three years later. I mean it.

Don`t be healous or aggravated it takes away from your own special day. You want to know how one bride bought centerpieces that would normally cost $24.95 for around $10.00 a piece and did not rent them but saved money because there was no security deposit sitting and waiting for her to have to return from her honeymoon to bring back. It is because they know not where to shop as much as they know to ask their bridal consultants to act for them as personal shoppers. ABBI shops for their client at wholesale prices. My wedding may not be a twenty Thousand dollar extravaganza, but it is a "special day". It seems as if you didn`t get the wedding you wanted. Maybe you really did want that super big wedding, a bow on your size 16 dress(wishing it were a 6) and a spectral colored bridal party. Somehow, I think you wish it were you waiting until you were 30 to get married, instead of settling for a hoe-down in your backyard at 15 (1st marriage); a trip to the court house for your second; Maybe Uncle Ernie fabricated the Cancer story to avoid your 3rd wedding because he figured he`d see you at your 4th! Maybe this is why you continue to harrass all of us brides, whom are excited about their new adventure, to cover up your deep rooted emotions of being an extremely miserable person. You`re jealous because we`ve found happiness and your still looking. Well, Ms. Layla, I hope that you do find what your looking for...and when you do I hope he/she turns you around, because you are one BITTER person.

Hey Leyla! I have something that`s going to turn you green. I am having a huge wedding! I have 10 gorgeous bridesmaids in beautiful navy ensembles! I won`t have a bow on my butt but I have one fabulous butt! I am not dropping 20 grand on my extravaganza, I am dropping 50 grand! No our parents aren`t paying a dime! We are paying ourselves...yes we both have terrific careers and we afford to do so...and about uncle ernie with cancer...uh, well we I work with cancer patients and we also donate 50 grand into cancer research. Oh, about a house, we have a fabulous beach house he got me for valentines day....no I won`t be "squeezing" into a size 6, see I was a swimsuit model and I have a perfect hourglass shape, and I eat whatever I want....(see I am also a dietitian)....I have a size 2 gown that had to be taken in at the waist....how`d you like that???????????

Oh my God, is this for real? Seems like everytime I log onto a board, there`s one person there who has to have all the attention (i.e. Layla, who is full of s*** and just doing what she does to get a rise out of everyone) and then there are the ones who have to retort and upstage in order to make themselves feel better and the others who seem to just log on to hurl insults at each other (i.e. Sandra`s comment to Shannon about needing her dietician servces). Leave the boards to those of us who are SERIOUS in seeking advice in planning our wedding day. This is ridiculous. Are some of the girls who log onto this site even old enough to get married because some of them surely don`t act a day over the age of 9! Get a grip, grow up ladies!

Ann, I totally agree with you. If we are all the mature young women looking on these sites for advice and what not, whyyyyy are we wasting time and space having message board arguments?!
