What Is The Customary Tip For A DJ For A 4hr Party?

My girlfriend and I are hosting a party for her mother`s birthday. We are hiring a DJ for 4 hours and are wondering what is the average, customary tip for this kind of thing? We don`t want to under tip for good service, but we don`t want to over-tip either, as we have a pretty set budget for these kinds of expenses.

The customary Tip is usually 10% of the DJ price.Even a $50.00 Tip is appreciated.If the DJ is good then 10%.

Thank you very much for the response. We were thinking along that line for tipping the DJ and I`m glad that it was confirmed to be a good price.
