EVENT FANTASTIC — BEWARE BAD WEDDING PLANNERS!!!!
Brides Beware! Event Fantastic (owner Rebecca Raymond and assistant Erica Justice) is not the business it seems. My husband and I used them to plan and coordinate our wedding. The ended up throwing the top of our wedding cake against the wall of my parents kitchen. Forgot to order the cake topper, ordered twice the amount of linens that we needed and charged them on my parents credit card, reserved the wrong size tables, yelled at our guests, AND LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RECEPTION!! They completely missed the mark and we are now fighting to get our money back. I would not recommend them for any important event!

While I sympathize with what must seem no doubt to you like a horrible experience, the Rebecca Raymond that I worked with for a number of years was then and I`m sure is still presently a hallmark of professionalism, well respected for her vision and quality of work by both her peers and the vast number of her past clients.
Not to play the devil`s advocate, but when someone is as displeased as you are, there are usually problems arising due to numerous changes in the actual planning, more than one decision maker, expecting the planner to exceed hours on the wedding day that are not covered by the agreement, and a general unwillingness to compromise.
I know a wedding day is meant to be wonderful and full of nothing but joy, but it is, also, a day that will have little things out of the plan. Being treated respectfully is something everyone involved in the day, not just the bridal party, should be given.

You are correct. It is all a matter of opinion. However, for the reference of other brides-to-be or potential future clients, I feel I need to get the message out. It sounds as though you have had a great experience, and that is wonderful. Mine was not so wonderful, though not from lack of trying on my part, the part of my families, and our wonderful OTHER vendors. Unfortunately, all of my other vendors commented on the lack of professionalism on the part of Event Fantastic and Rebecca Raymond that night. On top of that, we had guests that complained and I have since heard from other unsatisfied brides who used Rebecca`s planning services. Though this may be a unique experience it, unfortunately, does not appear to be the case. And I would hate for another bride to have a similar experience to my own. There are some wonderful planners in this area, and I do not consider either Rebecca or Erica to be amongst that crowd.
My wedding was wonderful, regardless, thanks to our vendors, our friends, and our family.
I am so glad you`ve managed to have a good experience! Everyone does deserve that opportunity! I cannot, in good faith, recommend these girls to other people in need of planning assistance.

OMG! Relieved to know that my husband and I are not the only ones who have had a NIGHTMARE situation with Rebecca Raymond (Event Fantastic and the Wedding Gallery), although sorry that others have gone through a similar mess as we did.
Basically, Rebecca and Erica jilted us for another wedding on the same day that they deemed more important than ours, even though we paid a deposit, signed a contract with them, and signed up with them for our date before they had any other weddings scheduled for that day. They never followed through on anything we asked them to, and basically, did nothing but take our money (over $1,000) and run with it. What CON ARTISTS! If you are a bride and groom to be considering using them.............RUN!!!!! We ended up taking them to court, which they also blew off, and are still trying to recover the money more than a year later. The most unprofessional, awful experience we had with our wedding planning was with Rebecca Raymond: I can`t say enough negative things about this person or her business. When I did call upset and asking for a refund, she agreed to refund the money, but never paid it, basically lied to us, then had the nerve to refer to me as a "Bridezilla" to justify her unacceptable and borderline criminal behavior. Stay away from this company; we`re trying to save other couples from going through a horrendous experience!

Oh I am so sorry to hear of your experience! I agree, truly con-artists. I have posted on every message board I can to get the word out. I sincerely hope no one else falls victim to Rebecca Raymond and Erica Justice. Currently, we too are in pursuit of our money — over $4000, not to mention the expense they cost us through their mistakes! Rebecca, in her rant during our reception, even cut a chunk out of the top of our cake and threw it against the wall of my parents kitchen! Please let me know if we can be of any assistance in your fight to retrieve your money. We have several witnesses lined up for our case and would be more than happy to speak about our situation if it will help you to get your money back. If this is something you are interested in, please let me know and I will get you my contact information. Again, I am so sorry to hear that others have had this experience though am hopeful that with 2 publicly noted instances and others from vendors in the area that we can keep these girls from taking advantage of others. Did you know that many vendors have actually had other negative experiences with them under different business names as well?
Again, BRIDES BEWARE OF EVENT FANTASTIC, WEDDING GALLERY, REBECCA RAYMOND, AND ERICA JUSTICE!
And if we can help, please let me know.

While I am sorry that you were dissapointed with your wedding day, it is amazing to me that two highly reputable and professional individuals were the cause of that dissapointment. I have worked with both of these individuals and have only heard praise from their numerous clients and the vendors that they work closely with. I am sure that their are two sides of this story but I know that they have too much class to respond to your rantings on a message blog. Brides that cannot and do not want to be pleased or appeased on their wedding day wont` be happy despite the bests attempts made by professional and highly sought after event planners. If I were you I would find out what is really causing you all of this anger because until you do no one will be able to make you happy.

I am sorry to here that your wedding day was a bad experience for you; however, I highly recommend Rebecca Raymond and Event Fantastic. Rebecca planned my wedding last year and also planned my sisters graduation party and my parent`s vow renewal. She was always very very professional. Her work was outstanding. She made my wedding above and beyond my expectations. It was a perfect day thanks to her and Erica. Rebecca is a highly sought out wedding planner in the Indianapolis area and is recommended by many. Again I am sorry about your day, but I am sure that there are two sides to this story and I know that both Rebecca and Erica are good people. So all of you brides reading this I highly highly recommend Rebecca Raymond and Event Fantastic! If any of you would like to see pictures of my wedding and her work I would be more than happy to send them to you.

How fortunate to you two brides who actually had a positive experience with Event Fantastic, Rebecca Raymond, and Erica Justice. I beg to differ about their professionalism, however, and have spoken with many vendors who also share the sentiment that they are unprofessional and shady individuals. I, like the original poster, was happy with my wedding day, and I did NOT make unreasonable demands -- I don`t think that expecting a vendor to SHOW UP on your wedding day when you paid them thousands of dollars and signed a contract with them is an unreasonable expectation! I didn`t have any problems with any of my other vendors, and we got along beautifully. I, like the original poster, am trying to prevent other couples from being scammed by these people, who are con artists. Taking money and not providing a service is, bottom line, stealing and a con. Let`s not try to candy coat reality here!
