Help With My Wedding

My soon to be husband and i are looking for any kind of help that we can get with our wedding. He started a new job, and after they got up and running his hours have been cut back, to atleast 8 hrs a week, needless to say this will not get us a nice wedding. Please if you can donate and advertise at the same time for our wedding it will be lovely. Our day is suppose to be 9/27/08, i say that because we dont have a hall yet. Please consider us

Have you considered having an outdoor wedding?! Many parks will rent out areas for very cheap and then you don`t have to spend a bunch on decorating because you have natural decorations! My Fiance and I decided to do it that way and are onl paying $250 for the most beautiful place! I think it ends up being better than a hall or church! If you live in an area that things like that are available I would look into it!

As a caterer, let me remind both of you that outdoor receptions are nightmares for the food (especially the cake). I`ve seen many receptions tainted due to bugs and or heat. So- buyer beware.

As for people donating time/services, keep in mind that a wedding is a luxury. You can go to the justice of the peace and be just as married. We all want and need to earn a living just like you do. When we give our services for free we are taking money and time away from our families/children. Would you go to work several days for free? Of course not! It is more than just the one day, we prepare for your event for several days.

So, please do not get hurt if you do not get many responses. We work hard for our money just like you do and expect to be paid, just like you do. Of course, there are still some newbies out there who haven’t figured that out yet and may donate to your cause. You may get lucky and run into one.

You may consider approaching your friends to all donate a food dish. Also ask them to borrow pretty platters, dishes, etc. You can make it a very intimate, heart-felt event by knowing that your friends all pitched in to help make this day special for you.

Good luck!!

Thank you for the tip about it being hard for food and cakes with an outdoor wedding, however, if you can manage to get the cake delivered just before it`s going to be cut (perhaps after the ceremony when you are getting pictures taken) then it should be ok, same with the food... And you don`t have to get a caterer... Yes we know you work hard, but we could just as easily go to our local grocery store and have them whip us up some food... And not have to pay for someone to cut our cake... That doesn`t take special skill or classes...

Honestly, very little a professional offers requires special skill or classes. We offer our services as a convenience. And if anyone tells you different they are simply lying or full of themselves. You can do ANYTHING any of the so called big guys can do, given enough time and patience. We charge to save you time and sanity, nothing more. I`m honest with every potential customer I have and tell this fact.

Hi! I have a bridal accessories store online (and an actual store)- it would probably save you time and $$ to purchase most of what you need online- I carry invitations, favors, veils, headpieces, jewelry, handbags, shoes, etc. Check out the site www.bridalcoutureshop.com. Email me with anything that interests you- as far as prices, we can certainly discuss that further to work within your budget. Hope this helps! Kristine www.bridalcoutureshop.com

Where are you wanting to get married at? city state?
I would suggest in Florida, we have Sand Key park. Its a beach (free to use) also reserve a shelter (free) then all you have to do is pickup some flowers from Grocery store cheaper then Florist, and a cake there also. Then get food catered... Save you a bunch of money..

Or look at your local city parks.. As long as u dont put up a tent its usually free... Jsut a suggestion. But if your in Florida email me back and I`ll see what I can do... Im a wedding planner and a DOC and officant
