Wedding But Not Reception

Can we invite people to the wedding but not the sit down reception due to size and money

I dunno; I would think that it might offend some of your guests; but if you keep the reception quite and let the people you want to invite know not to tell everyone about it then you might be able to pull it off without any hurt feelings
