Anyone Getting Married In SEPTEMBER???????

Never been on a cruise, but I would be careful.... September is hurricane season!

I went on a cruise last year during hurricane season with no problem. A cruise is wonderful. I went on Carnival`s inspiration and I am definitely planning on going again. Just make sure neither of you gets seasick. I rarely even felt the ship moving. I never got sick. The shows and food are awesome. Have a great time!

I am going on the same cruise for my honeymoon. I have never been on a cruise before, so I`m really excited. I don`t think that I am afraid of hurrican season, heck I would be happy to be on the ship the entire time. Which date are you going mine leaves Sept. 8th.

Mine also leaves September 8th!!! Which one are you going on,... Mine is the Carnival Fascination cruise line to key west and cozumel.....is it for your honeymooon??

Mine is the exact same cruise, and it`s for our honeymoon also.

I saw your another one of your posts further down this page. It seems we are getting married on the exact same day and going on the exact same cruise for our honeymoon. How ironic when we are so far apart. You live in WI and I`m from OH. My plans are coming along pretty good, but it`s been hard trying to budget. We are paying for the wedding ourselves and I still need about $3,000 by Sept. To put the finishing touches on it. After everything is said and done we`ll have about $8K wrapped up in it. I`m really excited about the cruise because I have never been on one before. We will be driving down to Florida because my fiance refuses to get on a plane, so I`m not looking forward to that at all, but that will give us time on the way back to stop at some friends we have in Georgia. I guess I`m just trying to look on the bright side because we`ve done the 18 hour drive before and it wasn`t fun.

That is so weird!! Good luck on the rest of your plans, I dont know how I would be able to do it had we had to pay for it ourselves!! My dad is chipping in 10,000 and his parents offered 5,000 I dont think we are going to use it all though. Weddings are so expensive!!!! So what made you decide to take a cruise for your honeymoon?? We chose that cruise because we wanted to leave right after we get married instead of waiting a week or 2 and that was one of the only ones. And.... We origoinally wanted to go to Jamiaca, but my dad said if we take a cheaper honeymoon, thenhe would help us with a down payment for a house. I said forget the expensive honeymoon I would much rather have a house!!! So, thats why. Have you ever been on that cruise line?? I have been wanting to see what the inside looks like more but the web site doesnt show it much so one night we were watching TV and realized that that is the ship that they film the TV show "ship mates" on!! So I like watching it to see what the boat is going to be like. I have been on a cruise but I cant remember what one, it has been so long ago. How old are you both?? I`m very excited about the cruise. Me or my fiance have never been on a cruise before. I have a book from Carnival and it has a few pictures of the inside of the fascination. It is very nice. I`m guessing the drive will take around 18 or 19 hours, we`ve never been to Miami but it took us about 16 hours to drive to Orlando a couple of years ago. I wish I could talk him into the plane because we could be there in about 4 hours.

We`ve been engaged for about 2 years, but have been together almost 7 years. We had orginally planned the wedding for June 7th but with us paying for everything ourselves we had to change the date. What colors are your wedding? Mine are purple and silver. Do you have everything that you need yet? I picked up my invitations yesterday and I think that was the thing that made me realize it`s only about 3 months away and still have alot to do. When are going to send your invitations out. HI!!! My colors are also purple and silver! The purple of the dresses is called amethyst it is such a pretty purple, lighter than amethyst I think, you can alomost see silver when it moves because of the fabric. What are you doing for flowers?? What color. I havent made the final order yet but I am thinking all roses and my bouquet will have white, mauve and that purple of the dresses all roses bunched together. And the bridesmaids will have the same but leave out the white. I am 21 and he is 24. We will both be having a birthday by then so we will be 22 and 25. We have been together 3 years and engaged for 1.
As for the invitations I am ordering them on Friday. I already picked them out though. I KNOW!!! Thinking that I have to send them out in a month and a half is so unreal!!! It is coming soooo fast. I am going to mail mine in the middle of July. Some people do it 4 weeks before, but I am such a planner, I hate last minute things so I am doing it a little earlier. If I did it 4 weeks in advance I probably wouldnt get them back until 1 week before the wedding!! Too close for me.

That`s so ironic that we have the same wedding colors too. Mine is more of a dark purple though. What song are you having for your first dance. Ours is "You had me from Hello" by Kenny Chesney. I looked at your wedding page, I really liked it, but didn`t know that they had something like that for free. If I can find the time maybe I`ll do something like that too.
My gown is a PC Mary`s when I saw it I knew it was the one. It`s a white A-line and has silver beading on it, with a very long train. It is very hard to explain I guess you would have to see it. I do have some pictures of it on a disk somewhere. If I can find them I will e-mail them to you. What does yours look like?
We also live together to, I think we have been living together for about 4 years now. It makes it so much easier because there is no way that I could plan this wedding and try to move at the same time. I think that I would completely go insane.

That is also soooooo weird! Mine is a P.C. Mary`s!!!! The Unspoken romance collection!! If you give me your email address I can send you a picture of it! I love it, it is so sparkley! And it also has a somewhat long train! I would love to see a picture of it, actually if you know the model number I can look it up on Mary`s P.C. Website. My dress can be strapless and have straps both, but i just have to tuck the straps in for the wedding and then pull them back out for the reception. It has a design on the top part, then on the bottom it has a design on the front and the sides that also sparkles. Then there is a long train with the same sparkly design towards the bottom.
I totally agree about the living together thing! Some people dont, but I wouldnt want it any other way. I lived with my last boyfriend "that I had been with for 2 years" I lived with him for a month and it didnt work out. I think you really know the person better if you live with them first. I would hate to find out all the bad habits about my Fiance after I marry him! This way you know if you can live with that person for the rest of your life or not! I have not come up with a song yet!!! I need to find one though soon because we are having a country/rock band for the wedding and they need to see the song first and learn to sing it before the wedding. That is a great song!!! Nope not me.

I got married in September of 2001. We went on a cruise and one of the places we went to was Cozumel. It was awesome, the weather was great, and cozumel was fantastic.

Well, I am getting married in 3 weeks now......sooo soon! Cant wawit though. Anyone else getting married in September???

Ours is September 20th, less than five weeks from now. Yeek! Many things still to get done...decorating the hall is a big one, as I am no Martha Stewart. So far for decorating, we`ve got floating candles in rose bowls, some balloons planned, tulle to drape everywhere, but not much else!

We figured the whole wedding thing wasn`t costing enough, and wasn`t taking up enough of our time either. So we bought a house, we move in two or three weeks before the wedding.

Are we NUTS? *laugh* Yes, yes we are. But really excited about all of it. I`m just dying to get us moved into our house, then start our married lives together there.

What about the rest of you September brides? What still needs to be done for your weddings? I`m doing pew markers today, I made a card box that just needs a bit more trim, made some very funky `dancing shoes` to wear during the reception - just white canvas shoes, decorated with all sorts of white flowers, pearls, etc. RSVPs are rolling in...dress fitting at the end of August...

Tons left to do, my dress is in three peices at my mother`s house- We decided to shorten it ourselves about a month ago, so that`s tonight`s to do. I also want to make a card box, veil, ring pillow, flower girl basket, and garter. We have to stuff the favors, and tosses. And only half of the rsvps are in. Anybody know how to estimate how many people will come who didn`t rsvp? I could have anywhere from 100 - 200 people at this point and that makes me nervous!

The week of the wedding we have to decorate, balloons tulle and some great tissue paper garland. I wanted to use 12` pieces of gutter to float candles and flowers on our long skinny tables- but they have a sharp edge and aren`t very symmetrical. So its glass jars instead, sigh. Some dreams die hard. Tons of rose petals. I might make some tulle wraps for my bridesmaids- they have sleeveless dresses.. I keep thinking all I need to do is knock a few things off my list and I`ll be O.K. Got to get to it. How much time is everyone planning to spend decorating on site? 2 hours, 4?
