Gift For Bridal Shower

I`am making a shower. The gift will be a table that the guest will participate in making. It will be tiles that will be fired and grouted on the table. They will be told no gifts, the table will be her gift. Do I ask the guests to pay for the table???

You could ask them to chip in, but if the table was your idea you can`t really tell them a set amount, they should chip in what they planned on spending.
