Candlelighting Ceremony

We are having a Saturday Kiddush Ceremony at our temple after the services which will be used as a small budget party as well. We want to have a candlelighting ceremony, but it needs to be done WITHOUT Lighting Candles. We were thinking of using Roses . Any Suggestions???
