Help We Need An Officiant

Kathy, most officiants I am finding are for $350 which includes the rehearsal. I am having my ceremony in Laguna Beach, so I have been looking in this general area. Feel free to contact me as I can help you further. Wg@rkengineer.com

My husband and I are from Southern CA and we got married in Santa Barbara. We got a listing of officiants from the courthouse there and found one that did our simple wedding for $100. This was last August (2002). I don`t know how elaborate you want your wedding or if that has anything to do with it, but I bet if you look around you can find one pretty cheap. P.S. Our officiant was wonderful!

Not sure about California but in Florida all you need is a notary public to marry you. May want to check with your local courthouse and see. If you can, find one and have them say exactly what you want. Probably come off a lot cheaper. Just an idea.

THanks guys I will try the courthouse idea, I know to get married its not expensive but to have someone perform the actual wedding Im am finding that it is , any more ideas on inexpensive ministers or officiants in Valencia/ Santa Clarita area.ALL responses are appreciated :)

Just wanted to also let you know that sometimes officiants will travel to where you are. When we looked for one in Santa Barbara we did talk to a couple here in the Los Angeles area and they said they would travel to Santa Barbara to where we wanted to be married. Like I said, we obtained a list from the courthouse there which had names, phone numbers and email addresses. We emailed the officiant we chose and he emailed us back a microsoft word file of the ceremony wording. From there, we changed it to our liking and emailed it back and that was that. It was so simple and for $100, you can`t beat it.

My brother flew from Oregon to Lake Michigan for a wedding in June and he found their officiant at Uniqewddings.org and was very happy. He says they travel anywhere you need them, and was very very happy with their service. They do elopements too! Maybe this is something that will help
