The best thing to do in my opinion is to think about other parties you have been to and think about what you remember, what did you really like and what made an impression on you. It most likely wasn`t the cake or the streamers or the favors. So don`t stress on those things. As long as you look your best and you have a great time that`s what you need to focus on. I suggest a tiara. When else in you life are you going to get to wear one? My thought get a cheap hall (you can rent school gym really cheap), get a DJ (cheaper then a band), have lots of fancy dessert (that`s what most people eat anyway) and chips and dips, as for favors I would suggest cutting a circle out of a lacey colored material and filling it with M&M`s and tying it with a ribbon(to be fancy you can go to a M&M web site and have your name put on the M&M`s) Decorate with Balloons - cheap and they are colorful and take up space( Wall Filler).
An ALL about me table is a cute touch with photo`s of growing up (most of the pictures most likey have your friends in them when they were young and they would get a kick out of it too). Lastly a theme, Pick something you like that represents you, dolphins (go with under water theme(decorate with blue table clothes and balloons in shades of blue) If you like Ladybugs have red table clothes and glue white dots on it with red and white balloons. The docorations are a splash of color, use colored napkins and plates. I Hope this helps, Good Luck!
