Parent`s 40th Anniversary Party

My two brothers and I want to plan a brunch for my parent`s 40th Wedding Anniversary. We have a limited budget and are not able to pay for all of the people that my parents would like invited. Is it okay to state on the invitation that we would like them come but at their own expense?
