Letting Guests Know About Registry...
A friend of mine is getting married in August and she and her fiance registered at Target. She told me that they gave her a booklet of tear off sheets that say something like "registered a Target", I dunno. Anyway, she has no clue if she is to send one along with each inviation or if it`s too tacky? I told her I wouldn`t care either way, but I thought I`d help her out and get other people`s opinions also. Or should be just be told by word of mouth where they`re registered?

That is, should guests be told by word of mouth?

I believe those "registered at Target` sheets are intended to send in your shower invitations, but it`s not appropriate to include anything about gifts in your wedding invitation. I got something like that from Sears when we registered, they`re little cards that you can put your gift registry number on. But I`m mostly going to rely on word-of-mouth.

I live in the midwest and it is perfectly acceptable to include where you are registered with your shower invites. Never is a gift mentioned with the wedding invites.
