Barbie Doll Centerpiece

I`ve been tasked with designing a centerpiece for a charity event. This centerpiece is supposed to reflect the organization that`s donating it. In my case, the organization is Sweet Adelines International. My idea is to dress four Barbie dolls in glitzy matching dresses and stand them on some kind of a platform that resembles a stage so that they look like a barbershop quartet. My dilemna is how to make that stage and how to make those dolls stand up. I`m envisioning a round base with a curtain behind the dolls. Our logo will go on the curtain. Beyond that, I have nothing. Any ideas out there? Thanks!

Hi

I could do some very pretty centerpieces done with Barbies and glitzy gowns, etc. Which could be also raffled off at the end of the evening or given as special thank you`s.

I have a great sale on them right now and I think they would be gorgeous and I could really glitz up the hurricane shade as well with diamond rhinestone`s, etc.

Thanks Connie. I appreciate the offer, but I need to make this myself. I know what I want to do, I`m just looking for ideas on how to do it.

Have a great new year!

Hi,
Glad to see you are doing your own centerpieces. Do it yourself is great. I actually made centerpieces using Barbie Dolls for my own daughters party. You can take a wooden dowel and put it under Barbie`s clothes and secure it with a twist tie around her waist and at her legs. Making sure the stick sticks out below her feet and push this stick into a styrofoam base that is cut to the size of a stage. (any size that you think will work). Glue in place with low temp glue. The dolls can be arranged to look like they are performing and you have it! You can take some cardboard and make it look like a backdrop and stick this behind the dolls in the styrofoam. If you need any further help or supplies visit our website at www.abncparties.com or contact me again. Good luck!!
