Hi,
We`re November and having a fall theme but (no pumkins). My dress is ivory so I am having NO white.
For favors I ordered from a MAJOR candle company (if you don`t know who....tell me your email address and I will tell you) They won`t let me post it here. Anyway, I ordered (online)custom votives....scent is pumpkin spice....label has fall leaves on it is wrapped in ivory tulle tied with a small rust colored daisey. It is custom printed with our names and date and says "Thank you for sharing our special day" they came out SO nice.
My Mom and I made my centerpieces. At the end of the season we went to Hobby Lobby and bought 12" glass vases. We bought pumpkin spice potpourri and filled the bottom with about 2 inches then bought fall silk flowers (rust, reds, oranges, browns, golds) placed them inside. On top we put an ivory bun candle (it fit perfectly) They turned out so nice. We will then place fall silk leaves around them on the table. We bought everything on clearence and they only cost about $6.00 a piece. But even without a sale I think they would still be reasonable.
My flower girl will drop small silk leaves (instead of petals). We also bought these. It came on wire garland, they are small and we just cut them off the wire.
I got my unity candle online (again can`t tell you where or they will erase my post but if you want I will email it to you) they actually have fall leaves embedded in the candles. My ringbearer pillow, flowergirl basket and guest book are ivory with embroidered gold twill through them...(bought online.)
My invitations are Ecru with an autumn leave on front....they will say......
As autumn leaves turn there brillant hue two hearts will join and say "I do" also found online.
I thought about having an apple basket sprayed gold for the gift cards (in place of the wishing well or birdcage) but instead I bought a large hat box at Hobby Lobby....covered in ivory cloth....cut a hole in the top, hot glued gold cord around it and wala, it matches my guest book! My Mom found scrapbook paper at Michaels with an autumn leave border and bought them and put them away, she`ll then print the shower invites on them. Well I hope this helps you and I would love to hear some of your ideas!

My wedding is in October, I would be interested in where you ordered your "fall-like" unity candle with the leaves. Also, I`m looking for inexpensive tablecloths (to rent or buy), preferably ivory, any ideas?

Any ideas?

Leigh,
Our wedding is November 29th, I know we`re pushing the fall theme, but I always wanted one. We picked that weekend because it`s Thanksgiving and a four day weekend for most. Alot of our family and friends will be traveling from out of state including myself and FH. We live 850 miles away from my hometown where the wedding will be. I know someone else getting married Nov. 29th and they are having a Christmas theme, so I say do want you want...which theme would do best for you? Decide and go from there. Your the bride do what makes you happy!
Good Luck!

Tosha: I have some pumpkins made of wrought iron that are also used as cinderella carriages. They are cute and can be used for centerpieces with fresh flowers in them, or with a candle. E-mail me at lizaking@satx.rr.com.

I`m having a fall wedding too, but I don`t want to go crazy with the fall colors theme... It seems like it has too much potential to end up looking like a halloween party or Thanksgiving at the school cafeteria. I am somewhat using the theme, though. I`m going for fall-like colors for the flowers, and for table favors, we are having a maple candy maple leaf in a see-through envelope, sealed with maybe a gold leaf sticker or... Any ideas?

My wedding is October 18, 2003 but I am not having the fall theme AT ALL. Is that bad?? I`m wearing Ivory and my girls are wearing Hunter Green and that`s about as fall as I`m getting. I`m using Calla Lillies for the ceremony and sunflowers for the reception. Sunflowers are fall-ish but they also ar my favortie flower so I had to use them. :)

But if I need to go with more of a Fall Theme someone please tell me.

I got married Oct 21 2000, my bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses. The bridesmaids carried wildflower bouquets with orange, purple and yellow flowers. The best of all were the centerpieces on the tables. They were white pumpkins. We cut the tops off, scooped out the inside and the florist filled them with the same flowers as the bridesmaid`s bouquets.

What types of wildflowers did you use? I`m having a hard time deciding on flowers and my dresses are chocolate brown as well.

I am getting married Oct 18, 2003 and am doing a fall theme. My dress is Ivory, my girls are Cranberry/Wine. Our favors are Orange candles with toppers (all diffrent) and I am lableing(SP) myself. I am also doing my Invites myself. (having trouble with art work there, but thats another problem) The reason i am writing to everyone is: I am having a horriable time comming up with flower ideas! I want to fall, but i also want simple flowers. For the church i`m going to get a few diffrent colored mums. But thats all i`ve figured out HELP!!!

Jemmy.. Can i please have those websites, especially the candle one.

Kim- Maybe you could do red roses for your bouquet and cream colored flowers for your BM. Just an idea, and it looks GREAT in photographs!

Hi to all the fall brides,
I myself will be getting married in Oct. Of some YEAR. I love October with all the colors and crispness of the air. For my flowers I will be using silk flowers. Right now I`m leaning towards different color mums with fall leaves as a fill in.Adding some ivory "something" to brighten it. This will be a second marriage for the both of us.I never had the beautiful gown and all because someone didn`t want it. Well this time around I am going to have a real wedding gown and a nice little wedding. I have been collecting fall items since I was engaged almost 3 years ago. I had seen in a magazine , the reception was in a barn but decorated with a reinisance look. It had the fall colors and small white lights all around. Tables with gold table cloths with pumpkins, gourds etc. Even had candy apples. It really looked romantic too. Jemmy could you please e-mail me the web site you all been using. Still looking for invitations. Congratulations to all the brides.

Hello all! I`m almost there and i have to tell you Fall is the BEST!! there is so much for us to choose from.
I saw someone looking for favors, how about: Candy & Caramel apples wrapped and labeld with your name and date? we are giving orange candles (that i labled myself) and each has a fall themed topper that my guests can reuse. I am also getting matchboxes with our picture on them to compliment the candles (NOT FOR SMOKING) for the center pieces, you have soooo many choices! we are using small washtubs (remember bobbing for apples?) with floating apple candles. How about a cornicupia (spelling sry) have your bridal party carve pumpkins for each table (with some rules), a pumpkin and stick pictures of the two of you with your friends and familys this would make a great conversation pieces. I am having so much fun planning my own i would love to help anyone else!!!

What colors are the bridesmaid dresses for your fall weddings? I am thinking about light yellow dresses with an arangement of orange and yellow flowers. Also for my center pieces I was thinking about carving small pumpkins and putting tea lights or votives in them. How does this sound so far? Just looking for ideas. Anything would be appreciated.
