I`m Going Crazy

My fh, likes the idea of a outdoor wedding, we have found the perfect location (a outdoor chapel overlooking the sea) I LOVE it, he LIKES it. He is so narrow minded about every idea i have told him about. He keeps saying, he`s the man he should not be in on the planning (but we have to at least agree on the location right???)
He`s worried about weather & thinks a buffet style dinner is cheezy. How can i get him to open his mind a lil & not worry about what family is going to think.

Thanks

I would ask him hypothetically how he imagined his wedding. Don`t pressure for too many details, this might give you an idea of what he expects and you can for from there. I know that my fiance imagined a big wedding with all the frills and with me being married once before many many years ago, I already know what hard work a wedding takes and he didn`t. Get price quotes on a fully catered wedding and also a buffet style dinner then once he realizes the costs he might change his mind. It sounds like he is pulling the macho thing when it comes to planning, but if you do the footwork and give him choices and prices, he may start to realize what planning a wedding takes and then maybe he will participate more!! Good luck and I hope everything goes great for you!
