Money Gift For A Friend

What is an appropriate gift for a college friend and his wife. We were good friends but have not seen each other often since school. Also because of work I am not able to attend the wedding. I am a single male if that matters.

Fully agree! Cudos to you, I don`t know too many single guys that would even care....most would say "I`m not going to the wedding" and that would be the end to it!

You need not give any money at all, and don`t feel guilty about it. Are these people really and truly your friends? Think about it. I would get them a small item from their gift registry. Not cash.

Typically, a good rule of thumb is to spend as much on the couple as you would for a night out of the same caliber. That is, of course, if you attend the wedding. If you do not attend the wedding, then anything would be appropriate.
