Can the Aunt of the Bride host a wedding shower or is it tacky?

Sure why not! Any family member or friend can host a birdal shower.

Honestly, it all depends on how traditional the people attending the event are. My mother helped host mine and it was wonderful to have her involved. But, I believe etiquette calls for no family members hosting...but that`s outdated if you ask me. :) Just do it if you want, the bride will love it!
