Tipping Wedding Coordinator And Minister

Hello,

I am getting married on May 22, 2003 at the Adventura Spa in Mayan Rivera in Mexico. My question is this: Is it customary to tip the wedding coordinator and the minister? As part of our stay at the Adventuara, we qualified for a free wedding. And if tipping is customary, how much is, according to ediquette, the accepted amount to tip? I certainly didn`t want to tip too little and insult someone, but at the same time, I`m having a hard time seeing ten percent of the "value" of the package. Thanks sooooooo much for your input!!!!!!!

Hi, i am a wedding coordinator myself. Tipping your wedding coordinator is entirely up to you, you dont have to do it but if you are satisfied with the service you get, it would be nice of you to show your appreciation. However, as you tend to get quite close with your wedding planner due to the nature of this work, you may want to give him/her a little gift instead of money, that is what some of my clients prefer to do. As with the registrar, they have set fees for conducting wedding ceremonies and as you have a wedding planner chances are they will be taking care of that anyway so whatever extra tip you give them will be a bonus really so whatever you think is appropriate would be fine.

Hope this helps.
