In Memory Of A Father

I am getting married in August of 2003 and would like any ideas on how to incorporate the memory of my father in the wedding/reception. He died 3 years ago; he would always tell me as a little girl, i`ll dance with you at your wedding. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks.

You could have a picture of him on a table with a candle lit in his honor. I`ve read of others doing that to remember someone who cannot be there.

I am a film-maker by trade and hobby, so moving images are always the most powerful memories for me. Please excuse me if this seems too theatrical for you...

If you have any old home movies or videos of your dad, have someone put together a short edited montage of clips and play it while you dance with a friend or relative that reminds you of your dad. Maybe an uncle, grandfather, or even the priest or officiant saying your ceremony.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I`m sure your dad would be very happy for you both.
