Am I Too Young To Get Married?
Hi
Im 14 years old and engaged to the love of my life. I`ve known him since I was four years old and fell in love with him then. He`s 18. We`ve decided to get married when I`m 21. Is that to young? I honestly don`t feel like waiting that long. My friend just turned 15 and is engaged, and her and her fiancee are getting married in January of 2008. I know she will be too young for that, but will I be? And what about our age difference? Is that a problem too??

If he is the love of your life he will still be there for you after High School, college, etc. Take the time and find out who you are, establish yourself. I made the mistake of marrying my high school sweetheart and I know it does work for some, but not all and I was one of those. I wish all the time that I had listened to my parents ( as I teen I knew it all of course) and took the time to discover WHO I WAS, What I wanted out of life and established myself as a self sufficient adult, had I done that and he was still there beside me then would have been the right time to get married. If it is meant to be he will still be there.

I totally agree with the previous poster. Until you are comfortable with who you are, you won`t be comfortable with the choices that you make today. You will do a huge amount of maturing in the next few years. Your life experiences will change; your views will change; your wants, desires, and needs will change; what you need from a partner may change. Don`t rush into marriage. Take time to figure out who you are as a unique person separate from your boy friend and your family. Only then will you make the best decision for your life.

Ithink that you are way to young to be gettting married. But if you think that your ready to make the commentment then go a head and give it a try. Besides no one knows the way you and your partner love each other but yall
