Please HELP!.....Camouflage Wedding Dilemma
I am having a CAMOUFLAGE wedding on April 12, 2008. I am very excited about the whole thing. When we finally set the date, I asked my fiance what colors he wanted and he jokingly said CAMOUFLAGE. We both laughed. But when I ended up at a bridal shop looking at dresses, I saw the MOSSY OAK BREAK UP CAMOUFLAGE tuxedo`s and I fell in love. I love unique, and that is what it is. The tux is black with a white shirt, the vest, windsor tie and the handerchief (for the pocket) are all camo. I then got online and found my wedding dress. I had went to a site www.craigslist.com and went to my state and city and typed in wedding dress. I fell in love. Even though it was used once (I don`t have alot of money to spend on the wedding), it was originally $1000 and I paid only $200, it is Champaigne and Ivory stapless with a few embellishments. It looks great with the Camouflage.
My daughter is wearing an Ivory dress that I also got on craigslist for $20. We are incorporating the Camo into the flowers by way of camo ribbon, the stems are being wrapped in camo hunting tape.
My Matron of honor and my bridesmaid are wearing strapless, floor length, A-line dresses all sage colored except for the thin strip of piping under the breast that has an off centered bow, the piping and bow are a dusty rose (pink) . I had to have my "pink" in there somewhere. So in all of the bouquet`s there are camo and pink. It is gonna look great. I made the ringbearers pillow in camo. The flowergirl (my daughter) is not having a basket she is having a flowerball.
Now with the other decorations and the cake. I am using alot of camouflage hunters netting. That is going to be hung at the gazebo and in an archway at the wedding parties table. I am having trouble with the rest of the decorations, cause I am stumped. Please help. And now with the cake. It is 4-tier, bottom is square then it is round and then square and the top is round. It is done in Ivory and Champaigne with Calla Lillies on it and edible b.b`s. I am looking for sheer wired camouflage ribbon no more than 1/2" wide to make curly q`s and place ing the cake. If anyone can help my with figuring out the rest of the decorations for the reception and finding the ribbon. That would be great. And I would recommend to people who can`t sepend a fortune on their wedding dress and things like that to check out www.craigslist.com it is great.

If you search on here for camo or camouflage as search terms, you will find other postings relative to camo themes. You can find cake toppers. Some gals have described using silk autumn leaves in their centepieces, as they are prevelant in the mossy oak camo...or decorating with shotgun shells, arrows ( if archery is the sport rather than shooting ). As for the ribbon, most any florist should be able to find the ribbon, or go to www.snydercreek.com where you can buy the bridal weight satin fabric...and get some to be sewn or cut with pinking shears, into the ribbons. Some brides have discussed using the mossy oak fabric as table runners too, over ivory or hunter green tablecloths. Orange is a good accent color with the mossy oak...as is the green and brown tones. On my page, you can see a couple of the camo wedding gowns I am having custom made for brides. I know you got your gown, but thought you might be itnerested. Craigs list IS a great place for shopping, as is EBay! JoAnne
