Addison Park In Aberdeen, NJ

Has anyone ever been to a wedding here? I want to know if the food and service are good and if you could here the music from the other event in the room you were in. Thanks!

I haven`t been to a wedding there but I don`t think you can. Why are you asking? I`m getting married there next September and I`m just wondering. Also have you heard anything about the service and food?

Hi, I haven`t been to a wedding there but I have been to their place in Staten Island,The Excelsior Grand, many many times and had a few parties there myself. They are a family run business and they are excellent to deal with. Their food and their service is impectable. If you need to ask me anything email me at info@thefavoriteplace.com. Here`s a plug......I am a vendor on PartyPop and I am located in Staten Island.

Someone on the knot said that bc it is a dividing room you can hear the music from the other party in the room you are in. I was thinking about booking my wedding there but that was a major turnoff for me. Since my post I went there and stood in one room while the dj played music in the other and I couldn`t hear anything. After that I was satisfied and booked my wedding there.

I just booked my wedding for Oct 08 this past weekend. I was told you can not hear ANYTHING! They have 2 soundproof walls between the 2 rooms. I have heard only good things about the food and the service I hear is unbelievable.

My wedding is in june 2009. I was told by Anthony (my banquet manager) that the price changes each year and April-October is the most expensive plus Saturday night is the most expensive. If you do a day wedding or a Sunday or Friday night it is a lot cheaper. The $170pp includes cktl hr (12 stations), premium open bar, salad course, pasta/soup course, choice of 4 entrees, wedding cake and coffe/tea. Basically if you pick a Saturday night and take the menu as is you will be around $209pp after tax and gratuity. I added some extras so mine is higher but my fiance and I looked at 12 places in NJ, Long Island and Westchester before we booked there and all of the good places were in the same price range. Since we booked our wedding we`ve heard a lot of good things about this place so I feel good about it now. Where else are you looking? I will tell you if I`ve been there and what I know about it.

Hi, I am getting married there in September of 2008 on a Friday night and paying $120.00 per person before tax, grat, and extras. Also I went to a tasting there not long ago and really was not impressed. Since then I have heard a lot of good things but some bad. I called them with all of my concerns and now all I can do is wait and see what happens. I think they are still fairly new and getting used to the way things work and still figuring out the kinks. I will say though I was a little worried at the fact that the bars in the reception room pour soda, gingerale, etc from the bottles instead of having a tap( I believe that is what it`s called). I think they should have one especially for the amount of people they have attending weddings.

I know weddings are so expensive it is crazy!! I didn`t look at any of those places. In NJ we looked at the Park Savoy and the Westmount Country Club. They were both nice but I liked AP a lot better. Plus the Park Savoy started at $240pp for a Saturday night. You need to guarantee 200 people for a Saturday night wedding at Addison Park, so I am inviting about 250.

I went to a wedding at the park savoy.. Very nice place.. Not even in my budget AT ALL lol... In all rooms you have to guarantee 200 people?? ahh i was thinking like 200 i would invite and then u know you get the ones who cant make it. Are there hotels in the AP area?

I think in all rooms but for other days the guarantee is less. There are hotels but they are Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn. Nothing fabulous but a lot of us will be staying over since I am from Brooklyn

Hi, I just booked that addison for my wedding in june 09 as well! I did move my date from saturday to friday though, after my maid of honor reminded me that i will not be ready for church at 1:30! I looked at like 10 other places as well, but this was the only one that took my breath away! But, i didn`t even realize that they don`t have soda on tap. Maybe thats something they will be adding, like the fountains facing the front ballroom? Let me know if you have heard anything else!

They don`t have soda on tap? What do they use then? That is upsetting.

I didn`t realize that they didn`t have soda on tap until i read the post from "S" from 12/4/07. I`m working this weekend so won`t be attending their bridal show, which has food tasting, so I am sending my mom, and I told her to find out the deal with the soda. It would make sense for them to have it, or at least be in the process of installing it... I will post the update once i find out myself.

Yes, the soda factor concerns me as well. I have already booked my wedding at Addison park and I live in Florida so its hard to be up there for tastings and such. Please let me know if you find anything out!! I appreciate it!

Well to all you young ladies getting info on Addison Park, My name is SAL and i am involved with a limo company that does quite a lot of weddings.I have just had the pleasure of attending my nieses wedding g at addison and let me tell you that it was quite a expereince,The cocktail hour the diner the service ,there wasn`t any thing to say bad about the whole affair. It`s a family run hall that is watched very carfully by the owner and his 2 sons and son in law.Oh and just to let you know that they allso own the Excellsior Granr in Staten Island for the past 25 years, and as for the tap soda ,it is better to serve from a bottle than a tap,tap soda get flat very quickly.Iyou have any douts DONT IT WORTH EVERY THING AND MORE
