Paying The Minister

What is the proper way to pay the minister for his services? What is the average price?

Thank You,

Hi. If you are contracting the services of a non-denominational minister he/she will have already established a price. Prices depend on location and how long or detailed is the ceremony. For a local up to one hour ceremony you should pay between $195 - $295 depending on what I mentioned above. If it`s a rabbi or priest the quotes go much higher. Hope that helps.

I do not go to church on a regular basis but I am using our family pastor for our ceremony. Most clergy in our area do not church but will take a donation for their church. We are going to donate $50 to the church, tip $50 to the pastor in a thank-you and invite him to the reception. In my area this is MORE than sufficient.
