What Does My Son Wear To A Friends Quience

My 16 yr old son has been invited to a friends Quince (?). What is appropriate attire for him? What is an appropriate gift? The `party` is at a hotel, but I have no idea what this is really all about. Help please.

Just wear a nice shirt and some dressy jeans or pants and for the gift just buy her some jewlery like the color of her dress and its not that hard
