Listen to your mother "mother knows best". My daughter`s friend had a quinceanera and she used the color "gold", well it looked more like a 50th golden wedding aniversary. I don`t believe hot pink would look bad in winter, maybe you can use it with a small amount of gold. I am a florist, and you wouldn`t believe the color combination on bouquets, they look very beautiful once there done. Other colors you can use is maybe emerald green, royal blue, violet or even red. Get on the internet and find dresses and floral bouquest and then show your momma how it looks. Good luck!
