Bridal Shower Invites At A Restaraunt

I am throwing a couples shower for my sister at a restaraunt, at her request it will be a pay for your own food and beer, there will be dessert provided though. What is the best way to word the invitation so that it is not rude but this is clear. Thanks for any advice

Hi Amy:
I urge you to NOT do this, even though your sister has requested it. Etiquette states that if you invite, you pay. Think about it.....those attending are actually paying twice for the party - once with a shower gift, and then again for their food. If you cannot afford to pay for everyone`s meal, then you have a few options. (1) cut your guest list; (2) go to another cheaper restaurant, or (3) have a meal/dinner/bbq at someone`s home. If you are very informal and this was just a get together kind of shower, then why not have something later in the evening? You could then provide drinks, snacks, pizzas, etc and avoid the cost of a dinner.
