Inexpensive Caterers

Has anyone used a caterer off the Chicago park district list of preferred caterers? If so do any of them offer plated meals for about 25-30 a plate or is that an unreasonable expectation? I want to have a reception at the South Shore Cultural Center but I don`t want to pay $70 per person which is what one of the caterers quoted me.
