Petite/Busty Figure =(
Hello,
Umm you see I have quite an issue. I am fairly thin, but have a very BIG problem up top and a little in the hip/bum area, (nothing real big in the lower regin..just, alteration shops are complicated and I would like to avoid them the best I can, though I know its not always possible...TRUST me I have worn out all of the possable options I can think of).
I am in a bra size 36F and simply cannot find a prom dress that has support or that I can find a bra that will be concealed properly, for a decent senior prom night. =]
I have been looking and looking and have found NOTHING!
You see, I like to be concervitive, but I do not mind a little (emphasis on `little`) clevage to show. I have found dresses I like but the hassle of a bra not fitting is a PAIN! Infact, I still have the problem of ordering my bras and PRAYING that thet fit when they come, since all sizes run differently for the most part, and with my chest size, I can`t just run down to the store (or any store for that matter) and pluck a bra from the selection of A-D cup bras. -_-;;
So, if anyone can help me, can you please direct me to a person/site that can assist me? My prom isn`t until next May, but still I want to get a basic area pin-pointed for my dress order..so I`m not freating over a dressless end to my first/last prom.
Thank you SO incredibly much!

Also, I was wondering if a Bra/dress slip would be a good alternative? like this one here
partner=ShoppingCom&member=au&utm_source=ShoppingCom&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=ShoppingCom_AU )
I`m WILLING I suppose to allow my brastraps to show if its the same color as the dress or if the nude suits my skin tone...I`m just having a VERY hard time ending with the best solution, or finding the ways to go about any of my ideas...so first things first: Finding a dress that would alow me the advantage or choice or...a site that will allow me to send in my mesurements and custom my dress in the areas needed, (prefurably at a price that doesn`t claim an arm or a leg). Or really...just whatever I can get... I`m flexable, I just would like `A` solution.

I have the SAME problem. I am a 34HH in Panache, Fantasie and Freya bras, and am having one heck of a time finding a bra to fit the occation of Prom or my wedding in next spring.
I`m willing to pay the price for a nice color selection of strapless bras. Such as black, white, nude or anyother available color. Although, I`m sure the selection stops at white, black and nude.
Thanx-Elle

I know EXACTLY where your coming from. I wear a 30DD and am less than 5 feet tall. I wear a size 6-8 across the bust and a size 0 everywhere else (and even those I have to have hemmed). As far as the dress bra goes - if it fits go for it (those of us who wear odd sizes know that when you find something that fits its reason for celebration). The best bet are things that either lace all the way up the back or things that are square cut at the top. The lace up dresses you can tighten up tight enough that you really don`t need a bra, and the square cut dresses will be tight enough at the top that you won`t need one either, or if you do find one that needs a bra its easier to find something that goes under it.
Another thing to think about is material (especially for those of us who have more curves than the supermodels). First…DON’T GO FOR ANYTHING THAT IS SUPPOSED TO DRAPE!! They look good on people who have to wear padded bras and go straight down from shoulders to toes without any curves. On those of us who have our OWN padding in our bras they make us look fat when we aren’t in the least. Go for stuff that’s form fitting because you can always have it tailored (I’ve done that MORE than once).
The best advice is DON’T GET DISCOURAGED and don’t stop looking just because it’s “off season”. Those are the best dresses sometimes. And I promise this advice isn’t from shopping thirty years ago…I’m not much older than you at all. HAVE FUN!!
