INVITATION NIGHTMARE, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter`s Quince is next year in January and she wants to put in her invitaion that she preferes Money as a gift. I think it looks tacky and probably offend some people. Most people attending are friends of hers from school that have rich parents. Since she goes to a small private school. What should I do??? Should I print the invitations requiring money as her prefered gift??? She wants a trip to Europe and since I`m spending ALL my money on this party, I can`t afford the trip. Therefore, she accepts any gifts, but she prefers money. What should I put in the invites???? HELP!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestions????

I definitely would not put that into the invitations, I think it could definitely offend some. Hopefully she will get money gifts, but I don`t think people would take well to being told that is the only option.

Hi Alexa:
I agree with the other poster. Invitations of ANY kind, should not mention gifts and certainly not money. I would think that once the invites are out, people may call you (or your daughter) to see what kind of gift(s) she would like.....then, you can say that she would prefer money, but in no way should it be included in the invitation.

Thanks sooo much for your input. I needed to hear from other peoples opinion other than my daughter`s. I agree with both of you and I will sent the invites to be printed in two weeks from today. I know that my daughter will be very upset with this, but it`s the correct thing to do not to include the money part as a gift. Thanks soooooo much..

Alexa,
I agree a gift is something that is given by choice and not required of your guests. I have several samples of invitations if you wish to take a look at my site. Also since the Quince is kind of far from the date you may wish to wait. Sometimes there are many changes that occur ny then
