Maggie Sottero
Attention anyone looking for a wedding dress from this site!
I recently bought a So called maggie sottero from this site and was actually sent a very bad copy (although that does not describe it) 2.5 wks before my wedding.
I am still waiting to hear from the seller who is now not returning e mails.
I want you all to be aware to make sure you see what you are buying, unlike me who spent a day in tears and is still searching for the `Dress` on a very tight budget now.
If you would like the details of the seller let me know and I will forward them on privately.

I would like to know who that was. I`m looking for a Maggie gown and I worry about that happening. I can`t locate the Seattle Marie to save my life.

Just a note to you gals looking for the designer gowns like Maggie on line. Don`t be afraid of getting ripped off. Just create your game plan and stick to it. Since your looking via computer, you should figure that who ever you get in communications with is also on line, and therefore, very capable of sending you email pictures of the gown you are considering. Ask for pictures showing the intact label that says Maggie and also that they show the size label....and hang labels if they are telling you the gown is new. Have them take close up pictures of the front, back and design features so you can compare with an actual gown. You can google or search for the gown by name and find websites with pictures of almost any gown! And, of course, Maggie gowns come with the Certificate of Authenticity, so ask about that. Sometimes people wont have them, or didn`t get them when they bought the gown, but if they show you the label, you can be pretty sure you will get what they are advertising....and not a replica or copy of a designer gown. ASK the question....is this from the authentic designer too....it`s hard for many people to lie to a direct question....where they might not tell all the facts if one doesn`t ask the questions.
I buy and sell gowns on line all the time, and also help brides get replicas of designer gowns, but I am VERY careful to be sure the bride clearly understand what she is going to be buying. I would rather send a bride 30 pictures and have 20 emails back and forth before I accept payment, than EVER have an unhappy bride.
SO....just think through all your questions and ask for those pictures. Then, if you`re looking for a Maggie, you`[ll know you are getting a Maggie!

I am so sorry about your situation. I do have an authentic Maggie for sale. Which one are you looking for? I am just trying to get rid of it and would come down on the price for you because of your situation. I don`t need it now, since my wedding was cancelled. I promise I am not a scammer. I would just like to help you out it i can. It is "Grace" by Maggie Sottero. I have a certificate of authenticity and pictures showing tags and labels. It is real! If I can help you let me know...I am soooo sorry about what happened to you...I just want to help if I can! Thanks for your time.

Hi JoAnne
All your points are absolutly correct and I did ask all my questions and request pictures etc. I have even taken the certificate to a maggie outlet and they have advised me it is a a fake, very hard to tell from a photo.
I am not saying that everyone is out to con people, I just wanted people to be extra cautious about buying on line, just like yourself.
I have met some really halpful people along my search and I thank them all for my sanity at times!!
I really do not want to put anyone off buying via the web but I do want everyone to be that little bit more careful and ask that extra question or request that extra photo if when you feel like you are been a nuisance. If the seller like you is genuine they really won`t mind.
Just be sure you are happy with what you buy before sending any money.
Joanne I wish I had come across you while searching for my dress, I may have got what I wanted not what I got.
Good luck to you all in your search!!!

I am very sorry that you apparently met up with an evil on line person. I know how it feels as I was scammed out of $2000 from a lady who was supposedly a designer of gowns, and I had placed several orders for my stock and one for a bride. She left with the money and no delivery. But, GOD provides sometimes, as this is how I met my designer I work with now. She was the `REAL` designer for this other lady and she was honest and contacted those of us who had been scammed to tell us we were not going to get our gowns. She really helped me get my bride`s gown made in time and the bride never was stressed about the problem, until AFTER her wedding!
AND, yes, I pride myself on being honest. That`s why I offer a total refund on any gown cost...even if it`s custom made....should a bride not be happy when she recieves it! It`s hard to buy sight unseen for many people, yet they need a good price or want the designer gown without paying thousands for it. If we can do business together, everyone can win. And, I`ve been offering this promise for over a year with not one gown being returned.
So hopefully MOST brides will find one of us who are honest....and I DO think the vendors on PartyPop are well checked out too. I see names on here that have been on line a long while, as I have. JoAnne

Tracey,
Please send me the details of the seller. I am looking for a Maggie Sottero and do not want to have to go through what you did. I hope things work out for you.
To the person (elizabeth) selling "Grace" Do you still have it?

I totally feel your pain, guys. I`ve been trying to sell my `Grace` online and have been contacted by a lot of scammers, so it goes both ways. So be very careful!
That said, my `Grace` is actually still at the shop because I`ve ordered it and it`s there ready for first fitting. It`s just that we`ve changed our wedding plans and I need to sell it off. If anybody is interested in a size 4, diamond white `Grace` (I can verify its authenticity to you in a number of ways), please contact me at sunnychiba@hotmail.com.
Good luck finding your dream dress!

Hi Tracey,
I just came across this post. I feel so badly about your situation and hope you were able to find another dress in time.
I`m in the process of buying a Maggie Sottero dress online and would like to know the company you dealt with to make sure I avoid them. Thanks!
