Peg,
Do you have your wedding gown? Or have you considered one with camo as an accent color? I am currently working with a designer to create some samples that we might offer to brides. The first one will be done before the month is over and two more are being planned. She makes custom gowns, so would be happy to help. Www.snydercreek.com has 3 bridal weight satin fabrics to choose from in various camo designs. JoAnne

Joanne,
I do have my gown, but I am wanting to alter it to go with the camo theme. I thought of altering the back to lace up like a corsette, and use camo satin ribbon to lace it. I also thought about incorporating camo into the vail. For example, using the traditional white vail lace then putting camo lace/mesh underneath. I have also been thinking about just buying a whole new gown, the reason being is that I had originally bought the gown to marry someone else. I have checked out snyder creek.com and yes they have GREAT fabric. I`ve got so many ideas floating around! Do you work for Snydercreek? I would love to see some samples of your designs. I will send you an e-mail so that you can have my e-mail address and send me some pics of your samples. If you don`t mind. I`m trying to plan my wedding day for september of 2008.

I did get your email and will be sending some pictures of ideas we have for gowns. NO...I do not work FOR Snyder Creek...just found them as a fabric source.
We could look at your gown and see how it could have camo fabric added to it. I like the idea with the veil too...and I have a sample of that mesh fabric from Snyder Creek. It`s a bit heavy though. Someone on here explained how to spraypaint tulle to make it look like camo...as another decorating idea too. JoAnne

Manolo for the brides just posted a (slightly sarcastic) series of pictures from a Louisiana camo wedding. It may not be up your alley, but should at least give you something to look at.

I saw a camo dress somewhere that struck me as nicely done. Of course, it`s easy to find things like vests for the groomsmen, garters, ring pillows. Turkey feathers seem a popular add-on for bouquets and centerpieces.

Nope not the camo I`m thinking . That looked more like a duck hunters wedding. I`m doing the "Mossy oak New Break-up" camo. It`s more for deer hunting. My brother and my Fiance are Bow hunters, so the first thing my fiance said was "if I get married it will have to be full camo". I thought yeah right, I`ll have to have everything custom made. But when I did more research and found some stuff. I was so excited! Thanks for the info!

Great! I`m awaiting any ideas you`ve got! I will take a picture of my dress and send it to you. Oh and sorry about the snydercreek thing. They look like a great source for fabric. I printed the fabric price list so that I could look at it when ever. I thought the vail idea was cool too. I would think that they would have a light mesh fabric if you wanted to make a face mask out of it. Hmmm. Well I`ll be waiting. And again thanks for your insight! I will probably take you up on anything you throw at me! Have a great day/evening!
