My Semi (my School`s Take On The Prom)

Hi everyone!
I need some suggestions for my semi-formal which is my school`s take on the prom. We were first planning to do a night in paris, but due to current events, the school decided against it. Our student council has a pretty tight budget, and we`re running out of ideas, anyone have any?
